Encounter Students Mission Trip to Guatemala

Encounter Missions has been given a unique opportunity to partner with Juvelim, the thriving youth church of Iglesia Elim Central, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. We’ve been working with Elim since 2006, when the youth pastor, Paul Nufio, attended our worship conference.  Since that time, we have sent several short-term teams of worship leaders and interns to serve in Guatemala City.  This will be our 9th year going to Guatemala.

Our mission is to meet the basic humanitarian needs of food, clean water, and medical provision to raise up a healthy generation.  In doing so, we will equip them with leadership training and principles that will allow them opportunities to change and advance their nation.  This will be accomplished through teaching principles of excellence, integrity, ethics and morals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Missions Trip F.A.Q.

We believe when people engage in service, it leads to life change. Our short-term trips provide opportunities for people to serve together in various locations around the world. Our belief is that as people chose to serve, whether in one of our churches, in the local community, or around the world, the impact of that service will change lives—for those serving, for the people they serve, and even for those that see them choosing to give their time to help someone else.

For those of you who have not gotten involved, we hope this will be the year you choose to begin a lifestyle of service. And to those who are serving, we just want to say thank you. You are the reason the mission is being accomplished.
