As we close out 2022, we are reminded of the words of Jesus, “upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.” (Matthew 16:18). Jesus was reminding His disciples that He would take “first person” ownership of His church and He would be the foreman in its construction. We believe Jesus would remind us as 21st-century disciples that He is still building His church and wants to use us to co-labor with him.
We have seen Jesus build His church in Roseville over the past four years. Hundreds of people have heard the gospel message, gotten baptized, been forgiven of sin, seen their marriages restored, children have encountered Jesus, and families have served together using their gifts and talents for the building up of the Body of Christ. We believe Jesus is just getting started with the Roseville Campus. As we continue to create a place that is home for the broken, continue to adopt blocks, and resource the under-resourced, Jesus will keep His word and construct something that we will look back on with gratitude that we were able to be a part of a genuine move of God. This year, part of our goal is to remodel our outdated bathrooms to enhance the guest experience as well as purchase two trucks for the We Love Our City ministry.
Our heart for this year’s Legacy offering is that everyone who calls TFH their home, would be involved. It’s not about the amount you give, but your willingness to pray, obey, and give sacrificially as the Lord leads you. As we all do this, we will see the following verse at work in our lives!
“This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:10-15).
Thank you for investing your life into what Jesus gave His for, The Church!
In Matthew 28 Jesus tells us to go and make disciples of all nations. We have seen that as people choose to serve on the mission field, the impact of that service will change lives—for those serving and for those being discipled. This year’s Legacy focus on Missions is in three significant areas.
First, we have partnered with Kingdom Builders Ministries because they have successfully built 43 churches and over 700 homes in Tijuana and the surrounding region. Our goal is to build a local, life-giving church where they can provide physical and spiritual aid to their communities. Your giving will cover the cost of all land purchases, building materials, and labor. This investment will impact Mexico for generations to come. As the funds are raised for this dream, you will have an opportunity to go on this mission trip to help build this church.
Second, One Child, in expanding their ability to provide food for children. One Child is a global community of Child Champions that serves children in poverty so they can discover hope and reach their God-given potential. We are inviting you to partner with us as we support them in expanding their kitchen facilities to feed even more impoverished children around the globe.
Third, we would also like to continue financially supporting and encouraging Ukrainian Pastors and Pastors in surrounding countries to provide needed help and resources.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of helping our own TFH church plants and dozens of other plants that are a part of the TFH Network. Our heart as a church is to assist them by adding support, encouragement, consulting, and training to help these young church planters to be successful.
Your generosity allows us to help young pastors purchase sound equipment, and programming supplies for nursery, pre-k, and elementary-aged kids, offset the cost of rental expenses, set up and tear down materials, and marketing materials. Your Legacy giving also helps the pastors directly, with their training, conference attendance, coaching, counseling, and team building. All of these things help prepare them and make them better pastors and leaders for their communities.
Your generosity is going to help us to support dozens more church planters, but we want to highlight one of our church planters as an example of the type of people we are investing in.
Pastors Caleb & Michelle Crenshaw lead Hope Community Church in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, CA. Married in 2011, they have two incredible children. After years of ministry work, in 2020 they felt the call to plant a church in Sacramento, CA. They launched Hope Community in September of 2022. As a family, they have a deep passion to see the communities of Sacramento transformed with the hope of Jesus.
We love our city and will take responsibility for it! The Father’s House believes that along with providing for the spiritual needs of our community, the church is designed to provide for physical needs as well. At the Roseville Campus, we have adopted three blocks (Citrus Heights, Lincoln, and Refugee Assistance.) As we look to serve more people, our goal given towards We Love Our City Legacy will help us purchase 2 box trucks that we can use to deliver food and other resources to the blocks to those that are under-resourced living in the blocks we have adopted.
We all have neighbors or know of under-resourced areas in our city that need to hear the good news about Jesus and serving physical needs is a great door for the Gospel. We will continue to resource the under-resourced, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and give good news to the poor. With your help, The Father’s House will be able to expand and adopt new blocks allowing us to serve more people who desperately need support, encouragement, and love.
All we do is ask you to pray and then give as the Lord leads you. We are confident that our investment in our community will not return void. God is moving and the best is still yet to come!
With Legacy funds raised, we will continue to improve our ministry space in Roseville to assure growth and meet the needs of all those who attend. As our Roseville Campus Family continues to grow, and families are added, our desire is to create an atmosphere where every person can call our church “Home”. Our goal will go towards remodeling our main restroom facilities. Our goal for every visitor is to not only hear “Welcome Home” but to see and feel it.
As our church family continues to grow, we are committed to making more space for all those that would be invited and come to experience God’s presence. In an always-improving ministry space, we are committed to making more space for our church as our family continues to grow!
Envision this – flourishing campuses in our region and a godly atmosphere where everyone is welcome; a place where people can belong, make friends, and become a part of our church family!
Gifts to Legacy General will be used for all Legacy lanes as needed.
