Pre-Marriage Mentoring

Pre-Marriage Mentor Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in serving with the TFH Pre-Marriage Mentoring ministry. The mentoring ministry pairs a trained volunteer mentor couple with a group of engaged couples (this can also happen with an individual couple on a occasion) for 8 mentoring sessions over a 2-3 month period. A structured curriculum provides excellent preparation in areas key to a successful marriage – communication, conflict resolution, finances, love styles and intimacy.

Each mentor couple will be trained to also use the SYMBIS Assessment, an online tool that assesses a couple’s strength’s and growth areas.

The mission of the TFH Pre-Marriage Mentoring ministry is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by building strong marriages based on biblical principles.

Because the role of the pre-marriage mentors is full of opportunities for influence in the couples lives, we are intentional about selecting spiritually mature, emotionally and relationally healthy couples.

The requirements for becoming a pre-marriage mentor are:

• You must be married for five years or more.
• You both are pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• You both demonstrate wisdom in your marriage.
• You are both members of a TFH campus.

Application

Apply Online

Interview

After completing the application you will be contacted for an interview with a pre-marriage ministry leader.

Training

The next step will be to complete the online assessment training. This is a 3-hour online training. The Father’s House will cover the cost of the assessment training. You will also meet for one hour with a Pre-Marriage ministry leader for further training.

Apprenticing

After initial training, you will apprentice with an experienced mentor couple through the entire process before being assigned engaged couples of your own.
